For 2017, everyone can experience the trial garden through a 360˙ panorama tour. Designed by Dr. Tim Rhodus, Professor Horticulture & Crop Science and Ernest Witney, Systems Manager, the trial garden has been extensively photographed and incorporated into a virtual experience for browsing on computer, cell phone, tablet and even a VR headset.

The first digital badges were awarded at the University's premier education technology conference, Innovate by Tim Rhodus, Professor Horticulture & Crop Science one day after the session, "Creating a Digital Badge System for Your Class" The presenters, Dr. Tim Rhodus and Dr. Richard Voithofer asked all those in attendance to send an email indicating what they felt was an appropriate criteria to earn a badge for attending a conference session.
